Empowering small and marginal farmers by rejuvenating farmlands
We are creating sustainable livelihoods for farmers through innovative agroforestry models that improve soil quality and reduce the impact of climate change.
The Agro Rangers Trust is a non-profit organization based in Shirur, Rajgurunagar, and Ambegaon block of Pune District in Maharashtra.
Agro Rangers primarily work in drought-stricken villages with farmers who own less than 5 acres of land and an annual income of under one lakh rupees. Due to the excessive use of chemical fertilizers, degraded soil leads to economic losses, particularly heightened during droughts and irregular rainfall. This situation escalates farming input costs while reducing farm incomes. Agro Rangers addresses these issues through evaluations of soil, water, and climatic conditions to design innovative agroforestry solutions.
Agro Rangers values sustainability by promoting eco-friendly agricultural practices that ensure long-term environmental health, and empowerment by providing farmers with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
