Empowering Agriculture Students at AGRO RANGERS.
During the two-day unit attachment training program at AGRO RANGERS, the agriculture students from D Y Patil College of Agriculture, Talegaon had the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities that enriched their understanding of the agricultural industry. The program aimed to empower these students with practical knowledge and skills, enabling them to become competent professionals in the field.
The training program encompassed various aspects of agriculture, including crop cultivation, soil management, pest and disease control, irrigation techniques, and farm machinery operation. Through hands-on activities and interactive sessions, the students were able to apply theoretical concepts to real-life scenarios, fostering a deeper comprehension of the subject matter.
The students actively participated in farm visits, where they witnessed different agricultural practices being implemented on a large scale. They had the chance to observe and learn from experienced farmers who shared their expertise and insights. These interactions proved to be invaluable, as the students gained firsthand knowledge of innovative techniques, modern farming equipment, and sustainable farming practices.
Additionally, the students were involved in practical exercises such as seedling transplantation, composting, and crop monitoring. By actively engaging in these activities, they developed essential skills related to crop management and gained a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with agricultural production.
AGRO RANGERS also provided a platform for the students to explore emerging areas in agriculture, such as precision farming, vertical farming, and hydroponics. Experts in these fields delivered informative sessions, highlighting the potential of these technologies to revolutionize the agricultural landscape. The students were encouraged to think creatively and critically, considering how these innovations could be integrated into future farming practices.
Furthermore, six students from the same batch were selected to undertake a two-month internship at AGRO RANGERS’ training centre. During this internship, they received intensive training and practical exposure to various aspects of agricultural management. They worked closely with experienced professionals, assisting in the implementation of farming techniques, data collection, and analysis. This immersive experience provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by farmers and the strategies employed to overcome them.
The successful completion of the internship equipped these students with valuable skills and experience, making them more competitive in the job market. They developed a deep appreciation for the practical application of agricultural knowledge and gained confidence in their ability to contribute effectively to the agricultural sector.
At AGRO RANGERS, we are committed to empowering the next generation of agricultural youngsters. Through initiatives like the RAWE program and internships, we aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing students to tackle the evolving challenges of the agricultural industry. We are proud to have been a part of the educational journey of these students from D Y Patil College of Agriculture, and we look forward to continuing our support in nurturing young talent and fostering a sustainable future for agriculture.
